Fun things to do. Enjoy clamming, crabbing, kayaking -- try surfing, paragliding, boating --have fun beachcombing, kite flying, or building sandcastles. Fishing, both river and ocean for steelhead or salmon, is a favorite activity here. The town fills up in the Fall with folks trying to land "the big one." On the outskirts of our community, you'll find sand dunes for buggies, 4-wheelers, or just climbing and great hunting locations for deer, elk and bear. If you enjoy golf there are several courses within a short drive of Pacific City: Lakeside Golf Course on picturesque Devil's Lake in Lincoln City, Hawk Creek Golf Course in Neskowin and Bay Breeze and Alderbrook in Tillamook.
A photographer's wonderland and birdwatcher's delight, the contrasting tide and weather activity offers a wide variety of activities for nature lovers.
Pacific City has a beautiful new Library and a new Community Center, offering rooms and a great hall available for rent to groups. Tillamook County's first microbrewery is located on the beach at Cape Kiwanda with ocean view dining and award winning beer. Many new and improved galleries, bookstores and shops featuring the work of local artists are distributed throughout the area.
Spirit Mountain Casino is 33 miles East of Pacific City in Grand Ronde and Chinook Winds is just 19 miles south in Lincoln City.
Pacific City receives a large variety of weather conditions. Many summer days are considerably warm. Winter storms with high winds and surf bring visitors to witness nature's drama.
From fresh seafood to authentic Mexican cuisine, there is something for everyone's taste. From oceanfront brewer's dinners to Karaoke--coastal fun in a variety of styles.
A local medical clinic, dental office and ambulance company are all located in Pacific City. There is a pharmacy in Cloverdale, 6 miles north, and hospitals in both Lincoln City and Tillamook.
At the southern end of this coastal delight, Pacific City starts the visitor on a wonderful tour of estuaries, bays and interesting things. You'll pass the Cape Meare's Lighthouse, Bayocean, Netarts Bay and the Octopus Tree, to name a few.
25 miles north of Pacific City in Tillamook, you'll find the Tillamook Pioneer Museum, Tillamook Cheese Factory, Naval Air Station Museum, Munson Creek Falls State Park, Tillamook Bowling Lanes and the Coliseum Movie Theater. 20 miles south in Lincoln City you'll find a great variety of stores at the Factory Outlet Mall. There is also the North Lincoln County Museum, Regatta Grounds outdoor recreation center, All American Putt-N-Bat recreation center, Regal Cinemas and beautiful Devil's Lake.
