Pacific City is bustling with spring break excitement. We’ve got surfers and dories out in the water, all the restaurants and shops are re-opening from their winter hibernation. Mid-February us locals flocked to the anticipated Grateful Bread and Fat Freddy’s opening. We are also eagerly anticipating the river house change and open date. Rumors have it we can find some amazing dishes coming aboard soon in there. Just a few miles North we are welcoming a new coffee/ breakfast shop in Cloverdale.

Whale week falls again during Oregon spring break (March 23-30, 2012) which makes watching these amazing animals all the more satisfying. Cape Kiwanda hosts one of the many view points where volunteers from the state of Oregon will be posted… their mission?… to share the experience of whale watching with passersby. Come enjoy a beach day with the family at Pacific City and you may just drive home a whale guru, these volunteers thrive on whale week and love to share their knowledge, experience, and binoculars!

Experience Pacific City’s rush of spring break fever and come see us in March. It sounds like we’ve got a busy schedule for St. Patrick’s Day too! Bring the kids to the family friendly, award-winning, Pelican Pub & Brewery for an evening of delectable brews and a kids menu to die for! mmmmm mac and cheese with a Pacific City twist
